Skinfood: Facial Water Vita-C (Gel Mask) Review

Yuhuuu~~ I'm back :D
Please forgive me for being not posting anything for few weeks..
FYI I'm currently preparing for my new fashion line so things got extremely busy here :p

Anyway today's review is gonna be The Skinfood Facial Water Vita-C (Gel-Mask)

Description:
A gel-type mask that instantly fills thirsty skin with the vital hydrating energy of Vita C complex and Alaska glacier water.
This mask is effective to relieve unusual skin stimulation, irritation, and sunburn

Unlike other sheet masks, I think this is the first face mask made of gel. If you have tried The Skinfood Carrot Collage Eye Patch before then you will be able to imagine how the "gel mask" look like.

The mask is quite similiar with The Skinfood Carrot Collagen Eye Patch. I think the only difference is that this one is a lot thicker and one side forms a squarish, diamond like emboss, while the other side is just flat.

In my opinion this gel mask is indeed too thick and big, so it doesn't fit my face at all. And unlike other sheet mask which is soaked with serum, this gel mask is actually very dry. There is no serum, lotion, or whatever inside the gel mask. Although this mask claims to hydrate skin, but honestly I didn't feel anything after putting this mask on my face for around 30-40 minutes.

This is a picture of me wearing the mask~

See? It doesn't fit at all :(

After all this mask is quite disappointing in my opinion. Although this is not the most pricey mask, but for Korean brand mask, I couldn't say that this is cheap.

If you are looking for a good sheet mask, I do not recommend this one, you should go and try My Beauty Diary mask instead. :) It is affordable and you can see the result right after application.

Laneige Basic Skin Care review

My first review for my december haul products is these Laneige skincare.

The two products that I bought from Korea is Power Essential Skin Refiner Light and Balancing Emulsion Light. These are the benefit descriptions of using both products which I got from Laneige websites

- Eliminates impurities in the pores, and removes keratin for clear and transparent skin.
- Bio Dusali, extracted from fermented seaweed with strong energy of life, supplies energy to the skin and promotes keratin turnover, while the Hyacinth extracts purify the skin from heavy metal, smog, and other harmful materials to leave the skin moist and transparent.
- Niacinamide helps for brightened skin tone with keratin care. Cotton extracts prevents skin damage to refine oily and dull skin for clear and healthy skin

First I must say I'm very impressed with these two products. I have combination skin whereas my cheeks area are dry and my T zone are a bit oily and acne prone. I used to have a extremely dry skin in the past and has been using shiseido the skincare line products until recently. I stopped using my shiseido skin care products because I find it too moisturizing for my current skin. And so I use this chance to buy a new skin care in Korea x).

So back to the products, the texture of both products are very light. The texture of Power Essential Skin Refiner Light is just like water. But be careful not to apply this on open acne scar, because I accidentally scratch my acne T__T and applied this toner on the scar and trust me, it stings so much that I feels like screaming! (am I exaggerating?) :p Anyway do not ever ever ever ever ever apply this on your acne scar. For the Balancing Emulsion Light, the texture is creamier and milkier compared to the toner but lighter than other moisturizer. I think this is the lightest moisturizer I have ever tried.
Balancing Emulsion Light texture

These products claims to eliminates impurities in the pores and removes keratin. I find this quite true because I realize that after a few days of using these products, I have lesser whiteheads on my forehead. These products also claims to brighten up dull and oily skin, and I also find this to be true. My complexion has improved a bit since I was using this for around 1 week. I'm still on medication for my sickness, so I realize that after being on medication for more than 3 months, my skin has become a lot duller and unhealthy. So these products actually helps my skin to recover from my dull skin into a clear and healthy skin again x). Even though I have dry cheeks, these products performs very well on my cheeks as well so don't worry about having combination skin. After using these toner and moisturizer, my skin has now become brighter and moisturized (not over moisturized) which I really like.

Laneige light basic skin care has now become my HG skincare which I think I will use for years and years until I find something better than this. I love love love love this products!!

Laneige multiberry yogurt repair pack review

Hi readers! I am back with Laneige multiberry yogurt repair pack review! :D

I bought this together with my laneige multiberry peeling gel because i thought they would give me better result if i use them at the same time. The repair pack retails for S$45 if i'm not wrong. For the application i usually would wash my face with my shiseido extra gentle cleansing foam, following by laneige multiberry yogurt peeling gel, then i'll apply this pack. I usually would massaged this pack into my skin for 3-4 minutes. So for the review, this product is as AMAZING as the peeling gel.

First of all, the smell is soooo YUMMY! One night i was already very sleepy when i wanted to apply this pack, and i almost put this into my mouth -.-" (ok forgive me being so sleepy that night) but honestly it smells like a real berry yogurt. Ok moving on to the texture, the texture of this product is very smooth and light.

This product is suitable for all skin types and for my dry-combination skin this products works amazingly well. It mosturizes and smoothen my face. I feels this product has brighten up my complexion a bit as well. After using this pack i always feels that my skin is plumped and smooth. This pack is also good for fading acne scar. After using it a few times, i realized that my acne scar faded faster than usual. Some blogger/youtuber claimed that this product actually do nothing for them but i think it might because of the person itself doesn't have a lot of acne scar. After all i think that this product performs really well especially if you are using it together with the peeling gel. If you want something to lighten up your acne scar and smoothen up the skin, this is a great product for you, but if you just want something to brighten up your complexion, this might be a good product for you but it takes patience to really see the result.
I think the only cons for me is it doesn't comes with a spatula. I have to dip in my finger to the tube everytime i want to use this so it's not that hygienic i guess.

Rating: Excellent product!

Laneige multiberry yogurt peeling gel review

For my first blog post I'll be reviewing Laneige multiberry yogurt peeling gel. If you see a lot of youtube videos or read a lot of beauty blog, you must've known that this product has been raved very much throughout the years. And I'll tell you the truth, this product is AMAZING!

Product info from Laneige:
* Soft yet powerful exfoliation
- Natural Konjac (Mannan) beads gently exfoliate dead skin cells and impurities with short time of massage.
- Recoverine from Chestnuts extracts promotes turnovers of horny layers to remove dead cells for vigorous
water supply and sleek skin texture.

* De-oxidating and calming effect for healtier skin
- Sogurty™, a specialized fermented yogurt, has anti-inflammatory effects to soothe skin from skin troubles.
- Multi berry complex (various berry extracts from raspberries, blueberries, wolfberries, cranberries,
and strawberries) delivers abundant nutrition and antioxidants to eliminate harmful free radicals.
At first I got the free sample of this peeling gel as well as the repair pack from laneige counter in kuala lumpur, Malaysia when accompanying my brother to buy laneige homme products. When i first i open the sample, it smells amazing and it works really well! (esp. the repair pack which i will review later). And so i went back to laneige counter in Singapore to purchase a full size tube along with the repair pack.

The texture is quite thick with fine beads inside (but be careful not to scrub too harsh).I love how it goes on my skin and after using this i feels that my skin gets brighter and a lot smoother. I usually use this after washing my face with my shiseido extra gentle cleansing foam and after i use the peeling gel, i'll continue with the multiberry repair pack. After I scrub my face with this peeling gel, i realize that my white heads on my forehead are disappearing on the next day but if i stop using this for a while, the white heads would come back -.-" so i guess i have to diligently scrubing my face every 2 days. The SA recommended me to use this 2-3 times a week but it doesn't seem to work for me, so i decided to use 4 times/week (i guess my whiteheads are pretty stubborn).

After using it for around 3 months, i realize that white heads on my forehead are 50% gone now! and my face is a lot brighter than before. I'm really impressed with this product.

Rating: Excellent!
Recommended: Absolutely! xD
until next time, take care! <3
