Etude House: Nymph Aura Volumer #03 Review

Hi sweety bunny! Hope everything is going well~

Today I'm going to review one of my favorite highlighter which is the popular Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer. I got the shade in #03 Transparent.

This is apparently a big hit in Korea since its first debut until now~ x)
They released the #01 Pure and #02 Brilliant only at first and came out with the #03 Transparent afterwards.

I was honestly a bit skeptical at first to try out this because from my experience I do not feel that Etude House produce the best make up products. But I do not regret trying this out after all.

The texture of this product is kind of thick and you really only need less than a pea size to highlight the areas that needs to be highlighted such as brow bone, cheek bone, nose bridge, etc. Some people mix this with their bb cream/foundation and apply it all over the face to give a healthy glow to their face but I kind of do not like that, instead I only highlighted my face.

For this product I think that you are supposed to whether mix it with a base product or apply this then the base product afterwards. And this volumer was actually intended for bb creams. I find  the glow to be very gorgeous under my bb cream. It really gives me a beautiful and healthy glow. But honestly I find it to be a bit tricky if I want to apply this along with my foundation.

When I'm applying my foundation, I would use primer, foundation, then loose powder. As you guys all know that loose powder is meant to mattifying your face. So If I apply this volumer before or after my foundation and after that I apply my loose powder then my whole face would become matte and not glowy anymore. Otherwise If I do not apply my loose powder my foundation would slide all over my face and it won't last long. So what I do is I apply all my base make up and I put the volumer on top of everything.

Even so I feel that the volumer is kind of sticky on top of everything and I believe it doesn't last very long. But it still gives a beautiful glow though.

Can you see the beautiful glow on the right side of the back of my hand? :)

My conclusion is that I think that this volumer works best with bb creams where you do not need to set it with any powder. And I absolutely love the beautiful glow~ x)

Etude House: Drawing Show Creamy Liner Review

Hey pretty girls! ;)
Another Korean products review is hereee~~ xD

I'm gonna review the new Etude House Drawing Show Creamy Liner
This was released around 2 months ago to replace the Code B strong eyes cream liner.

I got mine in color BR401 Brown Double Shot

In my opinion this cream liner is very similar with the old Code B Strong Eyes Cream Liner. The pigmentation is good and it also lasts all day with my Urban Decay primer potion.

I've been using my Bobbi Brown gel liner for 2 years and I really cannot compare these 2. I think that for Etude House price, it really does a great job for a cream liner. Where as the Bobbi Brown one is a bit overpriced for me but offers a very high end quality. Both lasted me all day with my primer. The only difference is only that the Bobbi Brown one dries immediately after I apply it on my lids so I do not need to wait for it to dry where Etude House one needs a few seconds for it to dry.

1 more thing I like about this cream liner is it is very waterproof, I swatched it on the back on my hands and afterwards find a hard time to clean it water. So you've gotta use a eye make up remover to really remove this eye liner.

The brush included to the liner is pretty good and I find it to be the same with the Code B cream liner but a bit more precise.

These are the swatches of the eyeliner

Below is the picture of the eye liner after I dip it in water.

It actually doesn't smudge when it is wet unlike the picture. There are some smudges on the picture because I touched it before it dries.

Overall really like this eyeliner, might not be my HG cream liner but it does a great job to line my eyes and the brown color is really nice also. If you have a tight budget and wanted a good cream liner I really recommend you to try this.

A Little bit of Haul: June HUGE Haul~!!

Hi sweet cupcakes! I'm sorry for not posting anything for sooooooooooooo long > <
I have been away for a few days for my trip to Singapore.
So in return I did bought a LOT of things from Singapore as well as from Korea.

I'm gonna show you all the stuff that I bought from Korea first~
ta-da~

I got some Nature Republic products this month. I actually haven't really tried this brand yet but I'm really looking forward to try all these stuff.

These are the list of all the items I bought from Korea:
1. Nature Republic Ice Jelly Primer SPF 28 PA++ in Cherry
2. Nature Republic Shine Blossom Rose Blusher in #01 Baby Rose
3. Nature Republic Stain Girl's Tint in #01 Girl's Red
4. Etude House Tear Drop Liner in White Pearl
5. Missha Professional Rounding Angle Foundation Brush
6. Holika Holika Luminous Silk SPF 42 PA+++ in #01 Light Beige

Moving on to the products that I bought in Singapore. When I was in Plaza Singapura waiting for my friend, I came across to this "angmoh" counter called Vardi & Migdal. The sell products from Israel and claimed to have the dead sea extract in their products. The SA there was quite pushy so I end up buying quite a lot of stuff back home.

Inside the White Flower Professional Nail Kit:

Beside Vardi & Migdal products, They also sell Amore Mio Cosmetics and Orogold Cosmetics which both was famous for their 24k Gold cosmetics. Both is considered as luxury cosmetics, considering the price range is around 100-400 S$+.

So from Amore Mio Cosmetics I got their famous 24k Gold Foundation. The SA applied this foundation on my face and it REALLY feels like NOTHING!! I think this the first product that actually feels like nothing on my skin. So of course I immediately fell in love with this 24k Gold Foundation. The SA also applied the most famous Orogold 24k Deep Peeling. She applied it on the half of my face and she did let me see the before and after effect. My face did become a lot clearer and my discoloration seems to be more even after she applied the peeling gel. And the most amazing thing is that my face became A LOT smoother afterwards.

I did get all these stuff for 310S$. I actually only bought the 24k Gold Peeling (200S$) and the Amore Mio 24k Gold Foundation (100S$), but the "angmoh" which is their supervisor gave me all these bonus which is a very good deal for me. He let me top up for another 10S$ and get the White Flower Spa Salt Scrub for only 10 dollar. Anyway very impressed with all the products and their services also.

The other thing that I got from Sephora is the most famous Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette! Yay!
I have been wanting this for sooooooooooooooo long

And the last thing is this Shiseido special set. I'm planning to sell out this set though. So do visit my online store (House of Younique)

Thanks for reading this long blog post. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
Bye~ ;)

Etude House: Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails Review

Hi Sweety Bunnie~ :D
Today I'm gonna review this lovely trio nail polish by Etude House.
Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nail is one of the summer 2012 nail collection from Etude House.

I choose mine in color #01 Screw Driver. Basicly this trio contains 3 different shade of colors. The first one is a very sheer and glossy orange. It appears almost clear if applied only 1 coat, so you've gotta need 2-3 coats for the first color. The second color is a bit deeper orange than the first one and it contains a lot of glitters. And lastly the third color is a very deep orange with a lot of very fine shimmer in it.

As you can see on the instruction, you've gotta apply the first color first entirely on your nails. After that moving on to the second color, just apply it to the half top of the nails. Lastly apply the deepest color on 1/3 of the nails and VOILA~

See how cute it became? At first I didn't think that it would be nice since the colors are very sheer so it needs 2-3 coats on each color. It is a bit troublesome and it could be quite messy if you are not careful. But afterall I really love this nail polish and I absolutely love the color that I choose. I think that it's extremely cute and suitable for spring/summer time.

I also didn't expect that these nail polishes will be long lasting since Etude House nail polish tends to chip after 1-2 days. But these are AMAZING! I've worn this for  5 days and it doesn't chip AT ALL!!!

This is the picture of my nails after wearing this nail polish for 5 days. Please note that I didn't apply any base coat and top coat. This is absolutely amazing and highly recommended. I'm definitely gonna purchase another colors. x)

Etude House: Shini Star Clear BB Lotion Review

Hi~ how are you doing? ;)
Today I'm gonna review this newest BB lotion/cream from Etude House
If you don't know yet Korean boy band SHINee is endorsing Etude House brand with Sandara Park from 2NE1 recently. Shini Star Clear BB Lotion was one of the first product they endorsed.

Cute aren't they? x) Anyway moving on to the products, first let me show you the packaging first~

It came with a super cute blue and pink tube. I guess this is the cutest bb cream I've ever seen! x) Love love love the packaging very much~

As you can see on the picture, this bb cream/lotion is supposed to be suitable for all skin types, moisturize, and brighten your complexion to give a very natural look.

I really didn't want to say this but despite of the cutest packaging, the quality of this bb cream is the worst of all. x( I really did expect A LOT from this bb cream but somehow it just didn't work as I wanted it to be.
First, I do not feel the moisturizing and brightening effect at all. And the worst thing is it accentuates my pores and wrinkles. Honestly I'm still 19 years old this year and I do not have large pores! But this bb cream makes my face look wrinkly and big pores.

Coverage wise it has an extremely sheer coverage which is definitely not enough for me because I have a lot of acne scar on my face. The texture itself is a bit creamy and it doesn't have any kind of smell, but still I couldn't bring myself to like it no matter how much I tried to love this.

Below is a picture of my bare skin hand~

My hand is still very smooth and soft, but after I apply this it became....

HORRIBLE!!!!! XO can you see it?? My skin became very wrinkly like a 70+ years old woman -.-"
Now can you imagine it on my face??

Anyway I really cannot find any good thing about this product except the cute packaging. And I would not recommend this to anyone.

Rating: 1/5 (for the packaging ;))

If you haven't enter my latest giveaway, you better be fast~! ;)

Etude House Face Color Corset Review

Hi readers~! Sorry for not posting anything for weeks. I have been super busy because of my new online store.
If you are curious you can check it here~ x)
www.facebook.com/houseofyounique

So this is what I'm gonna review today~

Left to Right #4 Pink Lady Fit, #3 Pink Girl Fit

First thing that I noticed from these blushes is the super duper cute prints!!! CX And also the packaging has improved a lot compared to their old blushes. Although they didn't come with a box, but the  plastic case itself is hard and more resistant to bumps. Anyway I'm very satisfied with the packaging because it is not as fragile as their old blushes. And of course they look more expensive now x).

Moving on to the quality of the blush, I do see a lot of improvements also. It is not as chalky as etude house old blush and it applies a lot smoother. These blush are extremely sheer, so you gotta swipe it a lot of times to get the color on the cheeks. The lasting power is just so-so, it last me 4-5 without budging. These are the swatches of the blushes.

up #3 Pink Girl Fit, below #4 Pink Lady Fit

See how sheer is that? Especially the #4 Pink Girl Fit. Trust me I have swiped the blush for around 4-5 times. So what I think about these blushes is these are not a bad products at all. The only problem of these blushes are they are wayyyyy too sheer! I am actually quite fair, and when I apply #3 Pink Girl Fit, it doesn't show up on my cheeks. So I guess I cannot use #3 Pink Girl Fit alone, but I'll try to layer it with other blushes.

The $4 Pink Lady Fit works well for me, although I need to swipe it around 3-4 times to get the color. But it does come out as a nice and sweet peachy orange. Overall I think they should work more on the pigmentation of these blushes. But I'm pretty satisfied though with the #4 Pink Lady Fit.

Recommended: Yes (but not the #3)

Etude House Peach Cheek Blusher

My second review for my december korean haul is this cute Etude House Peach Cheek Blusher. Ta-daaa~~

Aren't these adorable?? x) All you do is just pull the top part and it will become like this!

#3 Happy Pink, #5 Happy Peach, #2 Smile Pink (from left to right)

I got 3 colors from this range of blush. And like the packaging, the colors are also very adorable and dollish. These blushes are very typical asian blushes with all the pastel, cute and adorable packaging. Now for the review, these blushes is definitely worth the money! It comes with sponge applicator. You are supposed to stamp these blushes into the cheeks and that's it. But honestly it is too good to be true if you can just stamp the blushes and your cheeks will appear like some korean celebrity. So all you have to do is just stamp these blushes unto your cheeks and blend it with your fingers or brush. Some people might prefer to just use brush to apply the color to the cheeks. These are the swatches of the 3 blushes.

#3 Happy Pink, #5 Happy Peach, #2 Smile Pink (from left to right)

As you can see blush no #3 (left) and #2 (right) is quite similiar, but #2 is definitely a bit lighter than #3. For the texture of these blushes, honestly I find it a bit chalky but not like super chalky or anything. I just find a little bit of dusty textures when I stamp it unto my hand. But on my cheeks, it is just fine. I don't see any chalkiness on my cheeks. The pigmentation of this blush is quite sheer and matte, but don't worry this is definitely buildable. I usually take around 2-3 stamps to my cheeks to get the color that I want.

I haven't really tried these blushes long enough to know if these blushes will stay for a long time on my cheeks. But I did wear this for 5 hours and the blush was still on my cheeks. So if you have dry cheeks like me I think this will last you for quite some time (maybe like 7-8 hours?). Overall for this blush, I really like the color, pigmentation, and of course the packaging. x) I just wish that this blush is not that matte because I think I prefer something more of shimmery blush. But for matte blush this is definitely great :D
